The W.H. Brownyard Award for Meritorious Service
Call for nominations for security officers who have displayed the best attributes of a security professional through an act of bravery or heroism.

The Brownyard Group, the nation's leading insurance provider for security guard firms, is proud to recognize security officers who have performed acts of bravery in the course of their duties.

The officer judged to be the most deserving receives a $2,500 check, along with a plaque recognizing his or her act of bravery. The guard's employer also receives a plaque, and a $5,000 check is given to the ASIS Foundation in the name of that employer.

To nominate a security officer:

  1. Complete the form below and then provide an account of the action or service that you believe merits recognition.
  2. Also include any news clippings, written reports, or other documentation you deem appropriate. These may be copied and mailed to Brownyard Group, 21 Maple Avenue, PO Box 9175 Bay Shore, NY 11706-9175. Note that supporting documents may also be faxed to (631) 666-5723, or scanned and sent as attachments to info@brownyard.com.
  3. Please note that the nominee must still be employed at the nominating firm.
  4. Nominations must be received no later than August 31, 2008.
